London early 2000s
Clare Lewis was born on the Isle of Wight off the south coast of England and moved to London to study photography at Westminster. After spending some time living in Connecticut, USA she moved to Sydney where she currently resides.
Clare paints in oils.
Her time is shared between her property in Sydney which rather idyllically backs on to a tract of bushland, complete with visiting Wallabies and her off grid bushland property in the ‘outback’ of the Southern Highlands.
These two settings provide inspiration for varied work, still life from her Sydney studio and landscapes inspired from time spent on her property down south.
